Welcome to my blog. Actually, it’s not a new blog. The idea was born in 2009 when I served as an adviser to The Franklin, student newspaper at Franklin College. For the next two years — and 30 posts — I used this space to comment on the fine work of college student journalists at FC in the areas of writing, reporting, design, photography, and online/web journalism. I titled this blog, “You Can’t Win ‘Em All” after a similar critique written by Dr. Earl Conn, a fine educator during my undergraduate years at Ball State University. I learned a lot from Dr. Conn’s critiques. My hope is this blog provides the same kind of help and encouragement to today’s scholastic journalists.
