Celebrate seniors with Hadley Honor Roll

By Ryan Gunterman
IHSPA Executive Director

Not only am I asking Hoosier student media advisers to continue submitting names for the Diana Hadley Honor Roll, I’m requesting they increase the number of individuals for inclusion within the 2020 class.

This annual recognition is presented to scholastic journalists who have displayed journalistic excellence while adhering to the IHSPA core values of truth, courage, integrity, and freedom throughout the school year. Nominees can be any grade level and earn this distinction multiple times throughout their career in student media.

However, while the nomination form states this honor “would be given to one person from each school, or one person per student media staff,” advisers are encouraged to nominate multiple seniors in 2020 due to schools closing their buildings as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It has been heartbreaking to see all of the activities and memories that have been stolen from these graduates, so feel free to utilize the Hadley Honor Roll for recognition of your student journalists who are departing your program at the conclusion of the academic calendar. I have already begun the production and distribution of certificates, and your nominees can be added here: Diana Hadley Honor Roll Nomination Form

As always, please email any questions/concerns to ihspa@franklincollege.edu, and never hesitate to let me know if there’s anything IHSPA can do for you.
