FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 21, 2020
The Indiana High School Press Association is joining the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, IUPUI Arts and Humanities Institute, and Franklin College Pulliam School of Journalism to provide a free opportunity for Hoosier IHSPA members to spend the afternoon discussing the future of youth writing with bestselling author Dave Eggers.
Eggers, whose books include The Circle, The Monk of Mokha, What is the What, A Hologram for the King, and The Lifters, is also the co-founder of two national organizations supporting youth writers and activists – 826 National and The International Congress of Youth Voices. Hoosier students and educators can join this author and advocate for the extraordinary event Saturday, Feb. 29 from 4-6 p.m. in Hine Hall Auditorium on the IUPUI campus at no cost by emailing eggersevent@vonnegutlibrary.org (parents/guardians of students in attendance may also receive free admission).
