The Indiana High School Press Association is proud to announce the finalists for the 2018 Indiana High School Journalist of the Year Award. Andrea John – Inklings newspaper co-editor-in-chief, Crown Point High School

Jared Rigdon – North Star newspaper editor-in-chief, Lawrence North High School

All five students will be recognized, and the 2018 award winner will be named, during the IHSPA First Amendment Symposium Wednesday, March 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the south atrium of the Indiana Statehouse. The 2018 Indiana High School Journalist of the Year receives a $1,000 scholarship from IHSPA and will be the state’s representative in the national competition at the JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in San Francisco, April 12-14.
