Each year, the ACEJMC-accredited Ball State University Department of Journalism awards nearly $8,000 in scholarships to incoming freshmen.With majors in news, magazine media, photojournalism, journalism graphics, journalism education, advertising and public relations, we have something for everyone!Scholarship amounts range from $500 to $2,500, some of which are renewable. Online applications can be completed here.Applications can only be submitted digitally, no snail-mail) It would be advisable to review the application questions and assemble the necessary PDFs prior to completing the online application.With roughly 19,000 on-campus students, our department consists of about 1,000 journalism majors (grad & undergrad) with 30 full-time faculty. Department class sizes average about 25 students.
