Some of our Indiana students have participated in this program and found it to be exceptional. Brittannie Travis, Lawrence Central High School and 2014-15 IHSPA student officer, was an Indiana representative last year.
Recipients will attend an all-expenses-paid journalism conference June 18-23 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., and will be awarded a $1,000 college scholarship. Students (who are currently in their junior year) can apply online at www.freespirit.org. Application deadline is Feb. 1, 2016.
