Fall Convention

The IHSPA Fall convention is a two-day event held annually, gathering together high school journalism students and advisers from across Indiana. Students participate in on-site contests including design, writing, editorial cartooning, photography, and more. They can also participate in a variety of classes related to newspaper, yearbook, or journalism in general. An award ceremony is held the second day of the convention to announce contest winners, along with Hoosier Star and Harvey Award winners. A key-note speaker precedes the award ceremony. Past key-notes include George Srour, founder of Building Tomorrow and Scott Swan, anchor for WTHR, among others.
